How I grew by 30K on LinkedIn this year
A personal branding mini-masterclass:

This year, my profile grew by over 30,000 followers.
Honestly, it still feels wild to type that.
But it didn’t happen by luck or some secret hack.
It happened by showing up daily and focusing on a few key things.
If you’ve been wondering how to grow your LinkedIn presence, here are 7 tips that worked for me:
1. Define your niche
It’s tempting to talk about everything under the sun.
Don’t.
Instead, pick 2–3 topics that align with your expertise and passion.
Then, stick to them like glue.
Consistency breeds familiarity, and familiarity builds trust.
2. Give before you ask
Don’t post with the expectation of instant returns.
Share value generously.
Stories, tips, insights.
Goodwill is like a boomerang, it always comes back to you.

Stats are great, but they don’t make people feel anything.
Stories do.
Talk about your wins, your losses, and the lessons that came with them.
Vulnerability is your superpower.
4. Focus on comments
This might be the most underrated growth hack.
Comments build relationships, and relationships lead to collaborations, job offers, and opportunities you didn’t even know existed.

5. Use bullet points
In the age of scroll, your posts need to be skimmable.
Bullet points are your secret weapon.
They make your ideas pop and help your audience get the message fast.
6. Make it actionable
Don’t just share ideas…
Give people something they can do.
Actionable insights (like this list) are instant value.
They keep your audience coming back for more.
7. Trust the process
LinkedIn growth is a marathon, not a sprint.
Show up consistently, even when it feels like nothing is happening.
Over time, the momentum builds, and it’s worth the wait.

At the end of the day, growth doesn’t come from wishing.
It comes from showing up.
Day after day.
Post after post.
Start small.
Post once a week if that’s all you can manage.
Engage with others for 10 minutes a day.
Trust me, the results will follow.
If you try even one of these tips, let me know how it goes.
I’d love to cheer you on!
Cheers,
Dan
