How to go viral on LinkedIn

My 5-step blueprint:

Going viral isn’t about luck.

It’s about playing the game the right way.

Most people throw content at the wall and hope something sticks.

But the ones who win?

They follow a system.

Here’s my 5-step game plan to get you on your way to a viral LinkedIn post:

Step 1: Find your topic

You need a topic that’s going to resonate.

But instead of racking your brain for hours, head to trusty old Google.

Here’s what you do:

  • Type: “How + [your niche]” into Google.

  • Scroll down to the People also ask section.

  • Pick any of the questions that pop up. (The more specific, the better)

Now you have a ready-made topic that’s already got people talking.

Step 2: Get your answer

You’ve got your question, now you need a killer answer.

Here’s the trick: Use Perplexity.

Paste the question and use this prompt:

"You are an expert at [your niche]. Answer this question: [paste question here]."

Boom.

In seconds, you’ll have a well-crafted answer from an expert perspective.

Step 3: Write your copy

Now it’s time to turn that expert answer into a post that stops the scroll.

Fire up ChatGPT and paste this prompt:

"You are an expert at [your niche]. Write me a LinkedIn carousel post copy. Keep it short and simple, and use this info: [Answer from Perplexity]."

You’ll get a LinkedIn-worthy copy that’s clean, impactful, and easy to read.

No jargon, no fluff.

Just good content.

Step 4: Design your post

You’ve got the copy.

Now let’s make it pop.

Go to Canva and search for “brand guidelines.”

Grab a free template and tweak it to match your brand’s colors and fonts.

Save it as your brand kit so you can use it for future posts too.

Once you’ve done that, design a carousel and drop in your text.

Keep it simple.

No one’s looking for a Picasso here, but it should look professional.

Step 5: Write your post

You’ve got the content and the visuals.

Now, let’s wrap it up with a post that grabs attention.

I use EasyGen for this, which makes life a whole lot easier.

You’re ready to go viral.
