How to win on LinkedIn

The LinkedIn Blueprint

Back in February, I lost my job.

Honestly, it didn’t hit me that hard - it was the third time it had happened in my career.

But this time, I was just fed up.

I had to build something for myself.

A life insurance, so to speak - something that would always be there, no matter what situation I ended up in.

One month later, in March, I posted on LinkedIn for the first time.

Probably the best decision I've ever made.

I haven’t looked back ever since.

Now, I want to share what I’ve learned since then.

This is your blueprint.

No, not the one from Jay-Z (though that’s pretty good too).

I’m talking about your LinkedIn blueprint.

The foundation that can support your career, no matter where it takes you.

Phase 1: Define your strategy

Every solid structure starts with a clear plan.

Before you begin, map out what makes you stand out in your field.

This is the cornerstone of your LinkedIn brand.

Something that your audience should immediately recognize when they see your profile.

Ask yourself four questions:

1. What am I trying to achieve?
2. Who is my target audience?
3. What are their pain ponts?
4. How can I help them?

Phase 2: Craft a compelling profile

With your strategy in place, it’s time to craft and design a LinkedIn profile that truly represents you.

Begin with a professional profile picture and a banner that aligns with your brand’s colors.

Your headline should be a direct statement (45 characters max) about what you do and who you help.

Consistency in messaging, fonts and colors across your profile is what holds your brand together.

Phase 3: Address the pain points

Think of your content as the painkiller your audience needs.

Focus on their struggles - what are their pain points?

Offer solutions based on your experiences.

Not only does this build trust with your audience, but it also keeps them coming back to you.

It’s like an addiction, but in the best possible way.

Phase 4: Build connections like a pro

Teamwork makes the dream work, and the same goes for your LinkedIn brand.

Don’t just chase followers.

Focus on making genuine connections.

LinkedIn is the perfect platform to build relationships with other creators and industry peers.

Engage, connect, and collaborate.

Each interaction strengthens your network and expands your reach, turning connections into a supportive community.

Phase 5: Showcase your expertise

It’s important to show proof of your success.

Whether it’s case studies, stats, or reviews, demonstrate how you’ve achieved results.

People believe in action, not just words.

By showcasing tangible outcomes, you make your brand credible and trustworthy.

Phase 6: Stay consistent

When you’re building something meant to last a lifetime, it’s not about running a sprint - it’s about committing to the marathon.

Building something lasting takes time, dedication, and persistence.

Regularly share content, engage with your audience, and continuously refine your profile.

Each interaction and update is a step forward in the marathon, bringing you closer to a brand that stands tall, no matter what.

Consistency is the key to maintaining a brand that not only survives but thrives.

So, that was your LinkedIn blueprint.

I hope it helps you make your mark in your industry and build something bigger for yourself.
